My name is Cody Sharpless and I just recently received and accepted my appointment to West Point for the Class of 2014. Just posting to find anyone else who knows for sure that they will be going to USMA next year

Congrats to all!! It is officially appointment season, especially to those who live in states that held interviews early. Beware: some of your parents might grab the appointment from the mailman and put it under the Christmas tree!

waiting still

It is so hard to wait and wait and wait... my son still has his MOC interview on Friday... his LOA is only good until January 27, so we are hopeful the nomination process will move along - it sure seems like molasses for this mama!

But I am proud of the efforts he has made and continues to make, regardless of what happens next...

waiting is SO HARD!

Congrats to those who already know what their summer will be looking like!

You guys should start an appointment thread for USMA, like they have on USAFA forum.
 
ha i guess this was kind of supposed to be an appointment thread. any of you guys in the calss feel free to friend me on facebook, so we will at least somewhat know someone come next year

:eek: Did you really? I don't know if I could stand the suspense and keep the secret!

Our son has his MOC interviews this Saturday. We're hoping all continues to go well for him! I'll keep you posted........:thumb:
 
No, I didn't really, but there's always talk here of someone doing that. I had hoped to do that, but was upstairs doing something when the doorbell rang, son answered it, and it was FedEx bringing the FAT envelope. It was the day after Thanksgiving, and we were all surprised it came so early!
 
We really did the intercept and wrap -- the appointment for my second one came in two days before Christmas. My oldest (who was a cadet at the time) really was the one who did it. After we all gathered with our gifts at my parents house he told everyone he wanted his brother to be the first to open a special gift from him -- so we all got to watch. I got a great picture!! :shake:

I love it!! I think I got the idea from you 2 years ago, then the rat fink happened to answer the door that day! Your oldest qualified for top secret security clearance based on his ability to keep a secret! :wink:

My son got his LOA and nomination this week. We are so excited nfor him.
 
Let's get a list started.

PotentialParents son, LOA in August, Senator Mikulski nom in Nov.
 
Received a LoA november 13. Got the nom today.

I'm going for sure. Just hope the bubblewrap holds through lacrosse season.
