This current run perhaps- but this series shows the value of good coaching more than just about any other. For example Army won 11 of 13 games between 1986 and 1998 and if you happened to be in the classes of 1995 or 1996 you never saw Navy beat Army (Having been at the Navy War College in 95/96 I was an eyewitness to the suffering felt by USNA alumni who despaired of ever again beating Army) . Army athletics clearly made a huge mistake when they dumped the Jim Young/ Bob Sutton Option offense after the 98 season, joined Conf USA and brought in a coach utterly out of touch with Service Academy life and football. Meanwhile Paul Johnson came in and overhauled Navy and the result has been 7 years of drought. We'll see what Coach Ellertson can do in reversing the trend - having seen Army play last week- I don't think he is reversing the trend in one season. Nothing succeeds like success and it's tough recruiting when you have been a doormat for a decade and installing a new offense also takes more than a season. I think that he is on the right track.

You are attempting to place reason and logic into a discussion on which football team is better. For this football fan reason,logic and football go together like a duck and swim fins.:biggrin: My reasoning on football is if I yell at the TV loud enough the coach will hear and do what I tell them to do:yllol:
JMHO

Oh Gunner-
Allow me to tell you from my TIVO experience a few weeks ago (PSU-OSU) that yelling at the TV loudly will not make the coach hear you. :thumb:

tpg;
You must not have been loud enough. I watched that game and the coachs not only heard me but also followed my advice. I guess I must have been loud enough.:shake::yllol::rolleyes:
