Congrats! Does he know when it will be updated in his portal? My son found out tonight during his CAP meeting he is one of the 20 as well! I wonder how many from this list they choose.
No, does it go on the portal? His senior members didn’t seem to know much other than “ hey we saw your name on the list “Congrats! Does he know when it will be updated in his portal?
It doesn’t go on their portal. USAFA is not directly connected to CAP. CAP is notifying the cadet of their selection, not USAFA.No, does it go on the portal? His senior members didn’t seem to know much other than “ hey we saw your name on the list “
Congratulations to your son as well. Fingers crossed. It’s in Gods hands now.My son found out tonight during his CAP meeting he is one of the 20 as well! I wonder how many from this list they choose.
Sound about rightLive in a hotspot, people don’t care. So I’m free to take it whenever I want.
none reported here, at least. Is the journey over? No appointments from my state were made during the big wave, so a glimmer of hope is there, but I am unsure.
What state are you from?none reported here, at least.
PAWhat state are you from?
I am from PA too! What is your district?
I would report but I am afraid of being doxed sorry lolI am from PA too! What is your district?
@bluehopeful56 Not sure how that would happen unless you were the only one from that district.
yeah for real, even though i'm applying class of 26'Crazy to think all of us around the country are anxiously waiting for tomorrow. Best of luck to everyone.
not sure if anyone's replied to this, but sharing districts is not recommended here (security reasons i believe)Has anyone from Florida District 1 been offered an appointment. The waiting is killing me!
My DS has been interested interested in Space Force or AF for about 4 years. He would like to fly first, and then work in Spaceflight Operations.Good luck everyone! Just wondering, for those set on attending USAFA, what's the main motivation? Does everyone have a specific Air Force career in mind or is there some other reason?
Is it possible to fly in the Air Force and then transition into Space Force? My DS has been interested interested in Space Force or AF for about 4 years. He would like to fly first, and then work in Spaceflight Operations.
Plan B is to study Spaceflight Operations/Mandarin at ERAU and then reapply to USAFA. He is hoping for the appointment, but would be over the moon if he even received an appointment to USAFAPS.
If he had the skills why not? The military gets their person for longer and gets a use out of them both ways. If they can do both jobs well and it means they stay in longer ( instead of retirement and working for say delta) it's a win. Pilots typically don't fly for their whole careers and move into office jobs.Is it possible to fly in the Air Force and then transition into Space Force?
Where in the portal are the letters of correspondence posted?Based on my DS's experience, a letter will be posted in your portal from admissions informing you they have requested a waiver on your behalf. Then your DoDMERB will update. Then they will contact you if they want more information for the waiver consideration.
