I have just gotten nominations from both my state's senators for the USAFA. My representative interview is in 2 weeks. How much does multiple nominations help compared to just one? Will my having two help anymore than previously?

The more nomination slates your name is on, the more flexibility the academy has in offering you an appointment!

If you have a letter of assurance, then no, it does not matter how many nominations you have, only one is necessary to get an appointment. If you do not, then fight for every nomination you can, each one will increase your odds.

Agree with BeatNavy - Last year Daughter had two nominations and was 3 Q'd by the admission board - no appointment - she is re-applying as a college freshmen - if no LOA - you do need to compete for each nomination available:cool:

What does 3 Q'd mean?

Triple qualifed - means you are qualifed scholastically (through academics and leadership), physically (passing the CFA) and medically (passing the dodmerb physical).
