So just found that for class of 2020 the EA stats were:Never knew this. Where did you find this info?
713 Applicants
196 Appointments
Which would be about 2/3 of the class coming from EA?

So, if we don’t hear anything before or on April 1, is it safe to assume a TWE is in the mail? There are always individuals offered after the April date although they will usually be on the waitlist. I don’t think I have heard of someone who got rejected later receiving an appointment in the same academic year.

TWE = Thin White Envelope ie rejectionPlease excuse my ignorance, what does TWE stand for? Waitlist? Rejection? Prep? And when do prep school offers go out?
I believe I read a post last week from two people that they received an update to their portal late at night on the weekend. Is it possible to hear anything over the weekend? Or should we just distract ourselves until Monday, and amp our anxiety then!? Not-so-patiently waiting. Also, if we do not hear anything up to and including 1 April, is that a for-sure no? Could there be an opening in the coming weeks? Thank you. Best of luck to all of us still waiting.
I’m with you. I definitely didn’t know that. My son was originally in the EA pool but asked that his app be pulled to RA so he could work on improving his fitness score and possibly there was one other item he wanted to improve, I can’t recall. Hopefully that wasn’t the wrong strategy!Never knew this. Where did you find this info?
Curious, how did you receive it?Just received rejection
Just happened to check the portal and there was a decision. No email.Curious, how did you receive it?
I am sorry. You did your best, and to get this far, please be proud of yourself. How often were you checking the portal, and where did you see it?Just happened to check the portal and there was a decision. No email.
Of course I’m proud and I’m glad I took the chance to apply! Plan B and C are already set up and in motion. I checked the portal religiously up to 6 times a day. Almost any time I opened my laptop or browser on my phone. I saw that all check boxes except the evaluation board were gone and that one remained check and it led me to my decision.I am sorry. I'm so sorry...believe me, I know it's not a good feeling seeing that letter on your portal. My prayers go out to you and I wish you nothing but the best with wherever you go next!Just received rejection decision
So sorry. We completely know the feeling ( my DD had applied last year and sadly her journey did not end the way she hoped)...But, her plan B (MMI) has been a wonderful experience and she reapplied this year (no word yet). I wish you success and if you really want it, reapply next year. You will only be the wiser in another year. Best of luck.Just received rejection decision

EA vs RA appointments are not broken down in the class of 2024 stats. For 2024, total number of appointments offered was 418 out of almost 2,000 completed applications , with an ending class of 266 plus 6 international students. If number of appointments from EA is same for 2024 as 2020, then fewer than half come from EA. It would be interesting to see if the acceptance percentage is the same for both groups. So just found that for class of 2020 the EA stats were:

Thank you. If you check some of my posts above this you will see how I found it!Sorry on this update you received. Was this sent in your message on the portal.. Where did you check to fine this letter if you don't mind me asking..
Remember that the number of appointments offered does not equate to yield - the number of appointments accepted. So in a class of 285 (taken from the rejection letter posted in this thread), you’d need to have more than 1/3 more appointees just to get to 285 (196 + 65 = 261j. And that’s assuming that 100% of the EA candidates offered appointments end up accepting them, which of course won’t be the case. So there’s definitely more room than 1/3 of the class for the waiting RA candidates to fill. How much more, I don’t know since I don’t have any idea what the CGA yield figures normally are or, even if I did, whether they’d hold true in a COVID admission cycle. Keep thinking positively and good luck to everyone waiting! So just found that for class of 2020 the EA stats were:

What checkboxes? I don’t see anything like that on my portalOf course I’m proud and I’m glad I took the chance to apply! Plan B and C are already set up and in motion.
