I am going to be applying for an NROTC scholarship next year for the Marine Corps
However...I was looking up the hand requirements
(well actually, i was on my dad's laptop and found this page he bookmarked)
It says DQs (that I am concerned with) are:
Fingers and thumb (726.4):
1) Inability to clench fist, pick up a pin, grasp an object, or touch tips of at least three fingers with thumb.
and
2) Current absence of distal and middle phalanx of an index, middle, or ring finger of either hand, irrespective of the absence of the little finger (886), is disqualifying.
Now i am missing my little finger, and either the ring or middle (no doctor has ever confirmed which one it is). Therefore, I fail the parts I bolded... And I know I am going to have to go through the waiver process... But what are the chances of me actually making it??
Here is a pic, maybe that will help you see what I have...
I can make a complete fist, it is fully functional, and ****, I can even shoot with it....
(yes I have fingernails, its just a wierd angle)
Thank you in advance for any and all answers.
