So I will soon be submitting my application for Summer Seminar 2010. I have everything such as class ranking, GPA, and SAT scores, and I just got my resume together today. I was wondering if there was anyone on here that went to Summer Seminar and/or got accepted to the academy that could look over my resume and tell me anything that should be changed, added, or removed?

And please reply ASAP because I would like to submit my application soon.

I don't fit your criteria, but I'll look at it if you want. But either way; can you tell me the significance of your "Screen Name"? thanks....mike.....

I think it's his rank in an auxillary organization. i.e. CAP, Sea Cadets... It's how cadets are addressed in such organizations. So he is Caded 2nd Lieutenant McKnight, and I'd be Cadet Airman (C/Amn)... Is that what you meant?

I probably wouldn't post any personal information here on the board. Really recommend you remove your full name and email address (and maybe the addresses where you work). Just for safety/security!

The National Society of High School Scholars... was that the thing where they sent you a letter saying you've been nominated and then to join you had to pay around $60?

Was it legit?

I wasn't really intent on paying any money anyway... heh heh

Your resume looks really really good, congrats on all your achievements! ^_^

Good point......I didn't think about that.....do you know how to erase/edit posts?

Yes that was the thing. And it is legit. =]

Don't you see a little icon with Scissors that says EDIT on the bottom right hand corner of your post?

Well on some of my posts they show up for me and others they don't, I don't understand why.. Is it because I've signed out or something?

Anyway, what do you do as a member of the organization?

Hmmm no I do not. Weird.

And really not that much. I get a news letter every once in awhile and there are a lot of scholarship opportunities and like, college conference type things.

Unfortunately you only can on this board for a limited time, and it looks like you're past that window. I might try to send a PM to a moderator (if you look at the "sticky"s at the top of the threads on this forum (the AF one) you could see who some of the moderators are and try. If nothing else, just for future reference! :thumb:

Oops....sorry lol. I thought I had written something gender-neutral, but I guess I didn't....That could've been pretty awkward under different circumstances.:yllol:

have you contacted/filled out the recruit form for soccer - I would think the coach would be interested in you and they can make alot of things go smooth in the process or blue chip you if they have a big need for you

I agree about the recruit side of it - sounds like they certainly should be interested!

Only thing I see missing from your application (and you may not be including this since it's listed elsewhere) are your regular PSAT or SAT scores. I know one of those is required. (or ACT).

Very impressive resume!

Both these resumes are great! They sound similar to mine except I play football and all that stuff. But I hope to see both C/ 2nd Lt. McKnight, and tallbutshort! :)

Editing

I went ahead and edited out the personal info from the resume posted above. I am sorry I didn't get to it right away. If there is ever a time that anyone needs something done on the USAFA forum, please don't hesitate to send me a Private Message. I am on here every day, but don't always have time to read every thread, every day. If you send a PM I will know exactly where to look.

Thanks
