From an earlier post:
F 12/8
G 1/12/2010
H 1/26
I 2/9
J 3/2
K 3/16
L 4/6

I understand the first board meeting was on Oct 6 (something like that).

So, there is a 2 months gap between the first and the second selection board meetings? Anyone know what is going on?

Word is it was cancelled.
That's not official, but I've heard it from a couple people

scdad, are those Army board dates? Beacuse the info Son received from the ROO at his #1 school was as follows...

Nov 23 - Deadline for Documents
Nov 30 - 2nd High School Selection Board

Dec 28 - Deadline for Documents
Jan 4 - 3rd High School Selection Board

Feb 22 - Deadline for Documents
Mar 1 - High School Selection Board

Mar 28 - Deadline for Documents
Apr 4 - 5th High School Selection Board

The December dates for the board to meet according to an email I have from Cadet Command are Dec 1-4.
After they meet all the OML scores from this board and the last board will be reviewed for consideration of a scholarship.

Looks like it will be closer to Christmas before anyone finds out. What a great Christmas present if you fortunate enough to be chosen. Then again, what a downer if you are not!

Is the interview required as part of the board review? I have mine tomorrow. SO I have to wait til January?

(On the plus side, I recieved my LOAs to West Point and USAFA, just got noms to USMA, USAFA, and USNA....so I have something to be happy about!)

Correct. Your application doesn't go to the board for scoring until all of the required elements are complete and in in Cadet Command's possession. With the next board meeting in January, your interview should be there in plenty of time. Word of advice though - about 2 weeks from now, contact Cadet Command by email and verify that indeed your application, including interview documentation is complete. We have had one member here who found out too late that the paperwork was delayed in getting to CC and missed a board as a result.

Required Items
1) Application.
2) Transcript.
3) ACT/SAT test score documentation.
4) Interview report from PMS.
5) PFT with weight/height measurement form OR APFT.

Good luck with your application, although with your success so far, it doesn't sound like you need much. :thumb:

Wow! Are there any questions in your mind that you may not accept your Academy Appointments? Just wondered why you are still pursuing the NROTC scholarship when you've got two academy appointments already.

Congratulations!

Thanks Cadet_mom!
I'm just trying to keep my options open, so when the tough decision comes, I'll make the right one. I've wanted to go to an academy since 8th grade and have been obsessed with it since. (Research, summer seminars, etc) But more recently i've have some reservations, so I don't want to corner myself into just one option. So yes, I am really still considering ROTC! :)

Sounds like you have this very well thought out. And I totally agree with your assessment to keep your options open. Keep us informed on what your final decision is!

I agree. Sounds like he's got plenty of bubble-wrap as well. :thumb:
