I plan on applying for the full army ROTC scholarship next year. I am slightly confused. Do you take this test once you get accepted or once you receive the scholarship? or do you have to send in a copy or take the test before you apply and send it with your application?
If you have to take it once you are accepted into University and granted a ROTC scholarship, do you take this medical test at the university?
thanks!

You take the test after you have been awarded the scholarship. the ROTC application process is separate from the college application process. After you have been awarded the scholarship, they will send you a letter in the mail with a place for you to take your medical exams.

In addition, you will have a very tight window (30 days, I believe) to get the physical done once the scholarship is awarded. I know that will be a concern of yours, being overseas. Mr. Mullen will be your friend here navigating this process and getting things done in "atypical" locations.

One exception to the "after the scholarship" offer for the physical is for those who get far enough along in the SA process (which can happen earlier than the first board). If a SA applicant takes a DoDMERB physical, those results are also used for ROTC, so a second physical would not be necessary.

Pls send me your original posting; your full names and last 4 SSN; to Larry.Mullen@dodmerb.tma.osd.mil. I can assist U better from there and answer all your questions. I should be able to answer by midnight Sunday night :thumb:
