Hello, I received an email a few weeks to schedule a meeting with my evaluator ALO. He emailed me back and said that he was no longer an ALO. I emailed and called USAFA admissions and they said that they would assign another ALO soon. It has been over a week and I wrote them another email with no response yet. I have also tried to contact my mentor ALO but he has never responded to me. The deadline is rapidly approaching, what should I do?

Stop emailing and call admissions.

Stop emailing and call admissions.
You won't get an answer; they're still doing most of this remotely.

Contact your counseling team (Team Blue or Team Silver). Explain that you've NEVER heard from your mentor ALO and you need to know what to do. They'll handle it from there.

Congrats on being proactive. As deadlines approach, the lesson here is to engage and you are doing that. Email is convenient, but not a time sensitive form of communication. Sometimes you just have to actually call people. I see a strong reluctance from seasoned business professionals to pick up the phone and it is wrong. As an applicant, you do not want to be known for being the annoying high school kid that calls about everything..... however, you also do not want hard (and unforgiving) deadlines to pass.

When in doubt - call.

I recommend calling also. But I also recommend following everything up in writing. We all know it's good to have solid record of correspondence. Takes the pressure off you and puts the responsibility on the the ALO to follow through with getting the interview finished.

The deadline is rapidly approaching, what should I do?
Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but as I understand it, the Candidate Kit is due by the deadline (Nov 1st in your case)-not the ALO Evaluator Interview. The interview can take place after the November 1st deadline. The evaluator just won’t be assigned until after the Candidate Kit is submitted.

Correct - the candidate is not penalized by a systemic failure to schedule and complete their interview by the submission deadline. A candidate should make the attempt to schedule, but focus on the parts they directly control and meet all required deadlines associated with those individual tasks.
