I have a question.
Once you have your application complete, do you get a letter that you are medically, scholastically and physically qualified?
If you're application is complete and you already have nominations do they skip that step if they are going to offer you an appointment and just offer you an appointment?
If you don't get the appointment from one of your nominations, do you get a letter letting you know that you've been placed in the National waiting pool (I think that is what it's called)??

Thanks!

In addition to the above question, I would like to ask how long of a timeframe it is from completion of application to notification?

I guess I should have said, will you get a letter if you are qualified in all areas?

There is a letter that is sent when you are triple qualified. I don't know when the admissions board sends it out though. It may very well be sent once your application is complete, but I don't know.

Son received such letter letting him know he was 3Q'd but still needed a nomination in order to be considered for an appointment. He has since received the nomination, but we haven't received anything else from admissions yet.

Our son had completed his file in late August but was waiting on DODMerb. In October he received his med qualification and then in early December he received his 3q'd letter. A couple of days letter he received his LOA. A week after that we received word from 2 of our senators that he had received primary nominations from each of them. We still wait for the update on his candidate portal and for the 'big packet'!

Bottom line is, yes, there is a letter that goes out letting you know you are qualified in all 3 areas. My sons came from his admissions rep. Each of the other pieces falls in to place at it's own sweet time! The waiting is the hard part!

Good luck to you!!
