Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had a clue as to when the NROTC MO results are to be coming out, predicted to come out, or if they have already come out because I see no update on my portal status and my NROTC coordinator has not talked to me or responded to my messages. Thanks in advance.

My DD received a 4 Year back in Dec. I'm not sure if there are multiple boards or how any of this works as she is doing the work.

What a shame that Marine Option can't get their timeline in line with college admissions decisions.
Uhhhh, not to sound rude, but they do. They will let you know by mid-April, if not sooner. That's plenty of time to execute on May 1 college admissions deadlines. Have plan B ready to go as well. Sometimes plan A and plan B are at the same college, which makes things easier.

Same scenario for my DS. He has sent multiple emails/text messages to the coordinator over the last few weeks with no response.

My DS's OSO is a responsive guy - when my DS pinged him ~10 days ago with a text he got an immediate reply. Just a ping ("I'm keeping in shape!") type thing. The OSO said he could not release results from the board yet. I think we will see activity here on the board when they start letting people know. I, for one, will post his outcome when he is told.

I honestly think it might be internal USMC policy for OSOs not to speak too much about results or information relating to boards and timelines because looking around these message boards it seems like the other branches are much more open about what is happening and when.

Has anyone gotten a message yet? I think I was just denied from looking at the portal but I’m unsure because there is no other indication that I was.

I applied from north east Ohio area and I know my OSO has posted people receiving their checks on Instagram. So they are starting to be released in my area at least. I haven't gotten anything yet though :(

Good Morning! I am reaching out to see if anyone has received an update on the NROTC MO results yet? My DS said his portal is still pending and his recruiter does not respond to his messages. The recruiter specifically told my husband at the start of this process that we should never reach out on our son's behalf, but my son has sent text messages and emails and made a few phone calls, but he has not received a response since the first week in February. We are completely in the dark.

I would still hold off from reaching out to your recruiter. He is probably getting bombarded with messages from lots of people with the same question. Seeing as no one seems to be hearing anything, I think the best move right now is to just be patient and wait until the time comes.

I appreciate the response. If the results are still pending for the majority, then we will hold off from contacting the recruiter. There's just very little chatter about the MO applicants (at least from what I have seen).

My communications links with the USMC side are not as solid as with the Navy, but I do know that the MO board wrapped up last week. They need to put their results in a package and route to MCRC, so I would hope in a week to 10 days if that helps for planning.

Great news! He will be relieved to hear the results have not been released yet. Thank you for the reply.

My portal just updated to “No decision has been made on your application” along with a list of my top 5 schools. This is the first update on my portal in a few months. Could this indicate that results will be out soon?

Mine had the same change a couple of days ago. I am also hoping that this means that the results are coming soon.

If someone is told they are being awarded a "$180,000 Marine ROTC scholarship" - what exactly does that mean? Where does the number 180,000 come from? If we paid for our daughter to attend the state school at the top of her list, it would not cost anywhere near $180,000. And from what I understand, a NROTC scholarship (Marine option) does not cover room & board, just tuition & fees. Is that correct? Just trying to understand the details.

See flyer. I suspect a bit of marketing expertise in pegging the advertised scholarship value to the most expensive schools in the program.

Actually, my DS's numbers approached $190,000 at his 1st Choice School. 4 Year Scholarship Navy Nurse Option. OOS Tuition/Fees/Monthly Stipend/Summer Salary During Navy Clinical/Cruises, Also $3600.00 extra Fees per year in years 3 and 4 for Nursing Students.
