YOUR DOGS, CATS & Other Domestic Fauna - Cute, sad, buff or silly

Awww- she reminds me so much of our female boxer who passed several years ago. She was a therapy dog- i use to take her to the hospital and visit in the pediatrics unit and also to the elementary school for reading. LOVE LOVE boxers ❤️

Does anyone else here have a mental list of Next Dogs’ Names? My dream set of boxers has always been Samson and Delilah. I’ve got a hankering for a dog named Billy. Just haven’t met him yet. Ditto a Harry and a Lily. DH nixed Laura as that was his mom’s name.

I have tried a bazillion times to post a photo of her cuteness but I always get the message that the photo is too large no matter how many times I try to shrink it. Any suggestions? I have an iPhone

Email the pic to yourself on your iPhone. When you mail it the phone will ask if you’d like to resize the picture. Choose the smallest option. Then when you receive the picture in your email, save it to your camera roll. You now have a smaller copy of the picture.

So helpful - thank you very much for this info! I was also having a difficult time and had to get crafty:)

You can also save the SAF mobile site to your iPhone Home Screen.

When you want to post a photo, click on the Attach Files.
There is also an option after you select your photo from an album or camera roll to select Actual Size or smaller sizes. Select a smaller one.
ADD the photo.
You can then select thumbnail or full-size image from prompts inlupper left of photo now inserted in post.

If you need me to list every step, I can do that, just wave a hand if still stuck.

Desmond and Molly. Will work for cats too.

My brother in law (also a Marine) named his dogs Semper and Chesty.

We currently have a vowel first name list for our dogs: Arwen, Elvis, Ivan. Next will be Odin and Ulysses ( but hopefully not for a long time- I need Ivan around a long time:)

We had to come up with a theme because we also name our emus, cows, potbellys, chickens, goats & cat 😂

Kitties got a mention today, so now it's time to recognize the dog, lest he get jealous. For the record, he loves his kitties, but is very jealous when they are getting attention, often inserting himself between my hand and whichever cat is getting pet. The dog has his bed next to ours. Our bedroom leads into the bathroom and there is a mirrored door at the far end leading into the closet. Last night I was reading in bed, when dog startles awake and jumps up, looks into the bathroom and apparently sees himself in the mirror. Ears go up and tail starts wagging. Head cocks back and forth. This goes on for probably a couple minutes. Then the head goes down and he growls, then lets out a bark (he's not a barker). I tell him to get back on his bed and he complies. Stays there for a few minutes, then gets back up and starts the same process over again. I decided it was time to turn out the light and there were no more issues. He is a very active dreamer, so I'm guessing this is what lead to this. I was trying not to laugh out loud at him, both because I didn't want to hurt his feelings and because DW was already asleep next to me. IMG_3917.jpg

Had to say good-bye to our sweet old girl last week.
Here she is a couple of years ago when I "busted" her on the couch (where I would occasionally nap on weekends) while we were gone. I was surprised to find her there since I could never coax her onto any furniture.
