LOA for USMMA?

Hi, I'm applying for the USMMA c/o 2027. I completed part 1 of my application and am wondering if now that I completed part 1, am I in the running to receive an LOA, or is it much farther down the line?

The goal is an appointment. The majority of SA appointees do not have LOAs.

Admissions uses LOAs as class-building tools, giving them out when and how they wish, in any number they wish. No doubt all are considered for an LOA. They’re unicorns. If one wanders into your portal, rejoice, but don’t waste energy hunting one.

An LOA can come at any time during the application process, and the timing depends on how badly they want you. Most candidates do not receive an LOA, so do not expect one. Get the rest of your application completed and don't hold your breath for a decision until spring. Good luck.

It is possible to receive an LOA, I dont know how many given out for any particular Class. Only admissions would have that info. One of my son's received an LOA in December of his senior year of HS, the other was not given an LOA. Both received principal appointments. I would worry less about the LOA and focus on completing your application as early as possible.
