I made a mistake on my VMI application

Today I submitted my VMI transfer application for fall of 2010, however I realize I made a mistake. Under the demographic profile of the applying candidate, which deals with the height and weight of the applying candidate. I put my height as 6',6', when it should be around 6,0'/6,1, I aslo put down my weight as around 140 lbs, when it should be 150/160.

does anyone think a mistake like this would harm my chances of being admitted to VMI, or is the demographic section just for general information purposes on collecting info about the perspective cadet population?

Ether way I am planning on calling tommrrow to explain my mistake.

From what I remember about the application, I believe it asks for height in inches. I would have that changed so that you do not end up in the wrong company. The weight shouldn't matter, but if it would make you feel better then i'd say go for it. While the information might be a little skewed as long as you clear it up I don't see you having any problems. Hope this answers your question. Just glad to be back on the forum now that the ratline is over.

Congratulations on breaking out!
So by height, are cadets over 6 ft placed in alpha and hotel? What about average cadets that are about 5'10?
 
If you list your height as 6'1" on the application it will read 61" to the people who hand out the company assignments. Be prepared to be the tallest dude in your company...there are always people who do this. I'm 5'11" and was put in with one of the shortest companies (C Company used to be one of the midget companies), my guess is because they had too many folks in my height range to even out all of the mid-size companies. At any rate, there were one or two people (to include on my cadre) who were well over 6 feet tall, and they were assigned to C Co. based on incorrectly listing their height as feet and inches instead of purely in inches on the application. As long as being the tallest in the group doesn't bother you, it's not a big deal. If, however, you want to make a correction, then call admissions and let them know of your mistake.
