USMMA Class of 2027 Waiting Room & Hangout

Received an LOA in early December, and was finally medically qualified yesterday. Everything (CFA, NOM, MED) is now complete for my LOA to be turned into an appointment I believe. Is there any sort of time frame that anyone knows of for when I can receive an update from USMMA?
If a recruited athlete, I'd let the coach know DoDMERB cleared. If not recruited I'd email your admissions officer to let them know. Keep an eye on your USMMA portal for updates.

For my DD, class of 2021, it took two days. I have heard of it taking up to two weeks, but more often it is pretty quick. Congratulations!

Any idea why this data hasn't been updated for the class of 26?

Yes. Because it's USMMA. The website is not well-maintained. They still have pictures on there from before my DS started in 2009. I know a 2021 mid who spent his entire four years there working on updates and very cool content, and he finally gave up. Everything on there has to be approved at several levels at KP, MARAD, and the Department of Transportation, and proposed updates fall into the hopeless pit of federal bureaucracy.

Wow that stinks!

Great advice. I told my DD to keep the coach informed of any developments too, but he's also been great about keeping in touch and asking her how things are moving along. DD sent her AMI late last week and her application is under review so we're hoping for good news soon.

Not much different from things back in my day. My name was misspelled on my diploma. . . ..

I have a son 2026 who was recruited and one applying now for 2027 who is not recruited, very different experience.

What is the USMMA applicant experience difference? My daughter was just contacted by a coach but prior to yesterday she was in the not recruited pool.

The coach kept my 2026 up to date well before portal updates or letters. Much of the uncertainty you read about on this board is less of an impact if coach is involved.

My daughter enjoyed her overnight visit this past weekend. The young men and women she met were really honest about their experience to date, which my daughter appreciated. It's not going to be easy, but there's a ton of support! I can't wait for you all (my daughter included) to get your appointments! :)
My DS is going for overnight visit. Any advice?

Bring home baked goods for mids you are staying with!
Great idea! Our DS brought a little bag of goodies from Trader Joe’s for the person he stayed w/ - along w/ a thank you card. Also, you are probably planning on this already but no jeans on campus, especially if they are eating there & going to classes. Have fun!

As already shared, business casual. I'd also recommend a coat - it felt a lot colder while we were walking around campus and the wind was no joke! Tell him not

Thank you.
