Itā€™s that time of year, when my all time, #1 candy bar makes its appearance: Reeses Egg. The PB to Chocolate ratio is spot on, in this one. Iā€™ve actually tried to recreate a homemade version, to no avail.

Whatā€™s yours?

Lindt Excellence 85%, desert island pick.
Or Valhrona. Or Ghirardelli Dark with Raspberry bits. Or Lindt Classic Dark with Sea Salt. Iā€™d have to go with at least one of each.

Everyday: Mounds, with the coconut and dark chocolate. Dark Chocolate Almond M&Mā€™s when I can find them. After Eight Dark Chocolate Mints.

One quibble: 365 days a year is ā€œthat time of yearā€ for candy bars.

Apologies for inability to choose just one. What kind of post-apocalyptic world would that be.

Dang. Those are two solid choices above.

One night during a big Go Live at work we went down a rabbit role of best Reeseā€™s shapes. It was an easy hour long debate at 2 am.

I hate dark chocolate and coconut, so anything with those are out.

Loved these during fundraiser events. (But not in hot weather)
I almost put that down as a childhood fave! My dad was not a fan of me traipsing around as a kid selling wrapping paper, candy bars, GS cookies, etc., nor were he or my mom interested in hitting up their friends. In a rare example of him just taking over the situation, he would always just buy my allotment. Mom would wrap the bars in foil and freeze them. Dad and I would share those candy bars, even though milk chocolate was not my favorite. In the summer, he would make the best vanilla custard ice cream with the hand crank ice cream maker on the screened porch. I got to do my share of cranking. He would go get some of those frozen candy bars and a wooden kitchen mallet, break up the bars, and fold them into that ice cream. Gosh - that all just came back to me, how good that tasted.

For everyday: Reeseā€™s Peanut Butter Cups. ā˜ŗļø

For special occasions: Two Reeseā€™s Peanut Butter Cups. šŸ¤£
You and DH. Of all the nice things I and the dogs got him for Christmas last year, the 1 lb gigantic Reeseā€™s Cup from Samā€™s Club brought the best reaction.

Have you ever been to Hershey, PA, and seen every possible Reeseā€™s Cup variety in a special section in the factory store?

I used to take my kids there. We love Hershey, Pa.

Some nutjob on twitter said the best candy bar was milky way.

The best candy bars are payday, Reeseā€™s, almond joy, butterfinger, baby ruth. And there is no debate. ;)

I do love me a Twix bar, too. And I actually make a dessert bar called ā€˜millionaire barsā€™ that tastes even a bit better (higher quality shortbread) than Twix. Only at Christmas. My Ensigns request.

Good thing we like all varieties here, plenty to go around.

Itā€™s obvious I am definitely in the dark dark chocolate camp, but I prefer milk chocolate with nuts, crunchy bits, etc. As a kid, I was fond of those Chunky squares with nuts and raisins. Closest thing I can find is Cadbury Fruit and Nut bar.

Violet Crumble, can't beat that crunch!
Cadbury Fruit and Nut bar
See's self-selected 1 lb box, while attempting to snarfle as many free samples as possible, ending with me pointing through chocolate-glued mouth.

Do you recall the Resses shapes outcome? I believe the Christmas trees to be a close 2nd to the egg
