So those of you with ROTC scholarships, and even those still waiting hear back, where are you (or your son/daughter) going? What are you going to major in? I just figured it would be interesting to see the broad spectrum of schools and majors...:thumb:

My daughter is 98% sure she is going to the University of Portland (she goes to visit this weekend) and will major in nursing. :yllol:

My daughter's choices are as follows:

Accepted at:
Embry Riddle: Air Traffic Management, small civilian scholarship
Norwich: Physics, civilian scholarship
University of Hartford: civilian scholarship, physics
Waiting to hear from:

AFA, UNH, Plymouth State and SUNY

We haven't heard yet about an AFROTC scholarship. We thought her interview was in on time for this past board, but apparently not, because her status hasn't changed at all. No news can't be bad news! (We hope).

I'll be going to Bucknell university (i havent gotten in yet but i'm 90% sure i will) on an army 3-year scholarship (but with room and board paid for all 4 years)
Majoring in economics

My son was awarded an Army ROTC scholarship to the University of Missisippi. He is majoring in History with the hopes of being accepted into the Croft Institute for International Studies at Ole Miss.

I will be going to Arizona State on a 4-year scholarship; majoring in Aerospace Engineering.

I'm hoping to obtain a scholarship to Miami of Ohio or Bowling Green. My high school councilour messed up my high school transcript so it wasnt turned in till 2 weeks ago. does this mean i wasnt considered for the first review board? and will have to wait till march for the second one?

Our son received his 4-year NROTC scholarship in November to Virginia Tech which was listed as his first choice school. Major: Aerospace engineering.

Waiting to hear from: VA Tech and UNSA (both top choices)

Also accepted into engineering at the following:

Embry-Riddle (Daytona)
Penn State (main campus)
Norwich
University of Maryland (College Park)

Son has AROTC scholarship to Centre College in Danville, KY and to U. of Miami. Think he will go to Miami if not the SA.

Scholarship: AROTC 4-yr
School: Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers)
Major: Kinesiology

Notes:
Plan to apply for delayed entry in order to attend Physical Therapy school.
LSU kicks in free room and board for those with ROTC scholarships.

son - NROTC University of Michigan
USNA - On the official "mailbox waiting team"

My son is already accepted at UofA Tucson and declared Russian as his major. Now he's waiting to hear from the March Review Board whether or not he'll receive a scholarship. That's his #1 choice, and the ROTC unit contacted him last week to ask if he was still interested in the program/school.

He's already been accepted to ASU Tempe and CSU San Marcos (here in San Diego County) and I think declared Spanish as his major at those schools. He's waiting to hear from SDSU if he's been accepted and declared Russian as his major there, too. (Both UA Tucson & SDSU have excellent Russian programs.)

We're thinking that he'll mostly likely be a History major with Russian as a minor - or something in Linguistics.

Congratulations to those who've received their scholarships, and best wishes to everyone still waiting!

For my son...

Good Luck.
Our son's going for AROTC at WSU.

My son will attend Texas A&M for aerospace engineering.

Fingers crossed on NROTC, but I'm not hopeful after the AFROTC board rejection!
