USNA Class of 2027 Waiting and Speculating

Waiting and hoping. SAT 1390, ACT 31. GPA 3.5, class unranked. 2 nominations, qualified medically and physically. Haven't seen any appointments from WA on the list so far. Unfortunately my MOC hasn't released the noms this year, so I don't know how many he nominated to USNA. However, his historical trends have been between 0-3 in the last 5-6 years or so. Gives me high hopes.

Accepted my NROTC scholarship to ERAU-DB. Waiting for them to help arrange travel to NSI session 2. Haven't paid the deposits yet, so we'll see. Good luck to the rest of the hopefuls!

Can you follow up with his medical report/fax? Confirm it was sent? With your sons information clear? Resend it? Sounds like that’s the missing piece.
My understanding is your acceptance comes regardless of dodmerb clearance. I’ve been told you have up until I-day to settle medical clearance issues

Yes. But I was speaking to the information that he stated that the medical office said they sent a fax. And that DODMERB is saying they haven’t received it.

I would follow up with that. DODMERB can’t proceed without test results. It’s up to the candidate to take care of AMI’s. If it’s not received? That’s not ‘taking care of it’.

The computer update on CIS is very slow even for those with appointments. My DS got his BFE over 2 weeks ago and he still shows CPR. Just wanted to pass that onto those waiting.
Very interesting ... did your DS get an email or any other notification before receiving the BFE in the mail?

I think this is an anomaly. The standard notification pattern seems to be:

1. Nomination Source Phone Call (Optional for MOC)
2. Portal Update + Email from Admissions (Email typically same day as update)
3. Appointment Certificate.

But I have heard there is much differing to the pathway and that in particular MOC phone call is often not done. That was my situation.

Very true. DODMERB cannot proceed without the test results. Below is what we found out.

It seems the medical facility in VA faxed the report to the Colorado office. Called the CO office. Their voicemail says everyone there is teleworking.

Meanwhile, DS received email from DODMERB contractor in Pennsylvania inquiring status of the medical report and gave her fax number.

We called the medical facility and requested them to fax the report to the new number in PA. Hopefully this should work. Let's see.

My DS attended CVW this past weekend and during the opening briefing, The Dean shared they’re doing everything they can to contact candidates of appointment or waitlist news by 4/15. Good news is if you have not heard anything, you’re still in the fight..

If you don’t mind, what district in WA? I am also waiting but do know a couple who have received appointments.

This may have already been asked but has anyone been denied at this point? We are still CPR, appointed USMMA, USCGA CGAS, full 4 year ROTC & NROTC but USNA top choice.
