I've always been curious about this - how do certain colleges with aerospace specialties know to reach out specifically to me? Other than resumes that I send out to schools I want to attend, nothing about me really gets out there that identifies me personally.
The reason I bring it up here is because a college just tried to recruit me by email because I received an AFROTC scholarship. They certainly offer quite a few nice things to AFROTC cadets, but I've never even heard of it before (it is legitimate though).
Don't get me wrong, it's nice to get notices from colleges looking for a specific candidate, but I just can't figure out how they know.
Anyone have some insight about this?
