USNA Class of 2027 Waiting and Speculating

5 days to go(theoretically), and no word from USNA or USAFA for me.

Thankful for an early nrotc scholarship offer and a strong plan B which takes the weight off of it.

Definitely a good time for me to read through those application essays and think about the conversations and interviews which took place in fall. I’m trying to keep in sight the original reasons why I applied and how far all of us applicants have come since August.
 
My USNA withdraw button is gone too but my DoDMERB is still Under Waiver Review. I'll be checking both portals 1st thing tomorrow morning.
 
Got home from our 10 day vacation tonight and collected the week of mail. I nervously thumbed through it and felt the stress when I came to a business white envelope with a USNA seal on the return address. BUT it was just the Academy asking DH for money 😆🫣. Continuing with the no news is good news track… sigh…
 
Just in case you want a sneak peek at your mail being delivered, have you signed up for USPS "Informed Delivery?" It is awesome. You see a picture of the front of each piece of mail you are receiving that day. We get an email, but I can also check the app hours before the email hits the inbox.
 
My DS’s withdraw button is gone as well! Ok it was very early when we checked the portal….can someone tell me if i am correct on this… weren’t there were 5 sections under progress before….Required Action Items, Official Test Scores, Nominations, CFA, and then wasn’t there a Medical section? My DS had everything checked off and both CFA and Medical said Qualified in green. (Medically qualified since Dec with no issues)
His Medical section is gone completely! Not there at all. Or am I not remembering correctly?

Also, under Required Action Items…his Last Updated changed to today at 8:00 (est)

I still have my medical checked off and section there.
 
Well that is not the info I wanted to hear but thank you for it. We can start the grieving process now lol.

But it is strange that they would have a withdraw button for the application process that was the indicator of whether or not you received an appointment as well? Why wouldn’t they just wait until a decision was made to have the withdraw button for an appointment? It seems as if that is a flaw in the system if hundreds are notified of rejection by a button disappearing? Maybe I’m just holding on to the last vestiges of hope.
 
For those either just joining us or who previously were not refreshing their candidate's portal every 30 seconds, the portals update approximately every hour all day long so it is not specific to YOUR candidate or application. It is just the system updating. If you wait an hour and look, it will show a different time. It goes on like that all day M-F and then several times over the weekend too but not as often. When I first saw that time changing (probably in December 😬 🤪) I thought it meant something too. But all it means is the system is updating info and is not specific to any one candidate.
 
The withdraw option is simply “stop, I want to get off the train and not continue the application.”

Disappearance of this option is the harbinger of decisions to come, ranging along the continuum of options. The SalesForce database platform is rigging for the final cycle phase: decisions for each candidate, though some will not be resolved and will go into May or even June.

Because that option was for people who did not want to continue being considered. It has nothing to do with being rejected.
