Good morning. Although DD is still CPR, I came across this and thought it was a good read for her. Wanted to share it in case it gives perspective and hope to those of you facing tough decisions between schools, TWEs, etc. It’s well written, a beautiful take on the big picture, and something we both needed to hear: “Thank you letter to the college that rejected me”.

USNA Class of 2027 Appointment List Updated By Posters

It’s almost September, so the first drip of OFFERS OF APPOINTMENT will not be long in coming. Let’s have another great season of sharing good news! Do not feel pressured by this. Appointments do start coming out in early fall but start flowing heavily after the winter holiday as nominations...

You all know I am fond of posting musical interludes over in the appointment thread, to keep spirits up, usually from military musical groups.

For those of you here who are still CPR or in DoDMERB limbo or otherwise hanging out there with no resolution yet, here’s something from a favorite singer, Lucy Thomas, with a classic. Keep a tight grip on the big picture; things will work out, somehow, though it might not seem like it in the minute. Life has a delicious way of unfolding in unexpected ways that are just right for you.


 
My DS is still CPR. But heard one girl was accepted by USNA, the other girl was accepted by USAFA in his school in December 2022. He has SAT 1520, 4 years NJROTC, etc. I feel no chance for him this time. 😪
 
Those two girls are not in ROTC. The third girl from ROTC is applying West Point. Don't know the result yet.

I'm the opposite. Feeling half full this morning as no twe or wait list on either navy or air force. I don't have my ds log ins so it's driving me crazy, but he's very happy with Plan B and we've bought the shirt, booked admitted student day flights etc It's an AFROTC option, so he feels he's been lead down this path, and in 4 years he'll be at the same place, so we'll see if he redirects if an appointment comes out in the next few days. I keep thinking it will but he's mentally pretty excited about current path. He'll be happy either way.
 
The portal was just checked and my DD is still CPR. Hopefully, this will end in good news. If not, she is happy to take her plan B, which ended up fully paid for, and re-apply for next year. She told me that no matter the outcome of this decision, her path leads to an officer in the US Navy!
These are amazing young adults. Every single one of them.

Spoke too soon. Twe for naval academy just arrived. My ds called from school and he still feels like the afrotc plan was meant to be. Still waiting on air force academy though.
 
DD just received TWE . On to GT for Aerospace Engineering and 4 yr NROTC scholarship . (She only applied to USNA and Nrotc ). She will be joining her second year AROTC sister at Ga Tech . DD got her nrotc NSI assignment yesterday, and she excited to get started as a Midshipman . She says she will reapply to USNA, but time will tell . Good luck to all remaining !
