Finding yourself checking the DoDMERB site every hour? You could be part of an elite group that call themselves, "The DoDNERDS". :shake:

Well, I know it's not officially March yet, but I just can't wait a second longer! The January SAT scores are on their way to CGA, and Objee with his team are busy with all that mail.

A few appointments have come down the line already (congrats to all) during this RA phase, and you never know who might be next.

Anyway, Objee said he would try to let us know by the 16th how many total applicants (EA and RA all rolled together) they are reviewing. Remember CG states that decisions will be made by April 15th, but if you look at past posts, it could be sooner.

Sound-Off gang, who's in stalking mode? -officer

officer,

I am definitely a member of DoDNERDS!!! Finally restrained myself to checking the site only twice a day! I am very proud of myself!!

With no mail delivery today and DoDMERB down, you'd think we could take a break from wondering, pondering, stressing, etc.

Wouldn't it be great if, when the system came back up, all our kids status pages changed to "Offer Extended" for USCGA!!! Maybe that's what Mr. Mullen and his staff are working on right now! lol!

Does anyone know if all the letters, the acceptances and rejections, go out at the same time?

Hang in there everyone...looks like we got a ways to go!

officer,

I will be a card carrying member of DoDNERDS!! I have not learned Fairwinds patience yet, but with no mail and the DoDMERB down, I guess I will learn. I was looking at old post from last year and I think we have a long way to go yet!

Yes, yes, I check the sites more than twice a day (and the mail box!) so count me in as well!! My DS is an EA deferral and a week #3 AIM attendee. He doesn't seem to be as concerned as I am, tho. Doesn't want to talk about it too much; doesn't want to jinx it! He's been accepted at Cal Maritime, and now waiting on UC schools, but CGA is #1 choice, of course!!

I've been doing a lot of reading on the forum. Such great info, questions, and answers. I can't remember how I stumbled on SAF in the first place, but I'm glad I did! I'm routing for everyone! GO BEARS!!!

Cool guys, ya'll really make this so much easier. My son was an AIM3 also. I'm starting to dread Sundays and holidays when no mail is delivered because I love starting my day thinking this could be "the day".

We go down to A&M this week to check out the AFROTC Corps of Cadets. Son has already been accepted there as a back-up. Well, we are off to swim practice. Hope to see Objee post the final number of applicants tomorrow if CG lets him come up for air. -officer

March 19th was our lucky day last year... Good luck!!

March seems like a year away!

It may feel that way, but its sooner then you think. And June 30 will be here before you know it  Anyway count me in as a part of the mail stalkers...I'll be anxiously awaiting the decision on my waiver for the next couple of months.

I thought I was the only mailman / DoD stalker - happy to be part of the family!! - I don't know if I can stand this much longer. Qu - is it usual for the 'good letter' to be sent out during Feb and Mar and how many may get sent?

Crap..I knew I went the wrong way haha..I couldn't remember if it was forward or back a day. And I was gonna put the 28th too :shake:

I stand corrected...June 28th will be here before you know it, and so will June 30th, your third day of swab summer :wink:

Daughter received the large envelope from CGA yesterday. Her appointment actually comes as a surprise as we lost hope (at least it was greatly shaken) after she was not admitted EA. Now she needs to make her final decision. Good luck to all those who are still waiting. Keep the faith.

Yes, appointments are being sent!

Congrats to your daughter!

Ask her to read the Cadet blogs here:

Daily Life as a Cadet

to get a good idea of what each year brings at the USCGA. These are written by cadets from each class, about any subject they wish to talk about - nothing is sugar coated.

Congrats to your daughter and you . Out of curiosity did her DoDMERB status change?
