Hello all,

I was checking my DodMERB status just now and my admission status for the Naval Academy has changed. Instead of "In Process," as it has read for ages, it now read "Offer Extended." I was wondering if this mean I have been offered an offer of admission, as I haven't heard anything yet from either my Congressman who nominated me or the USNA itself.

Thanks for the help!

Congrats, Emistar910!! Guess we'll continue to watch DoDMerb!!

BTW, does it have a date that your status changed? Also, when was the last time you checked before today? Just curious as to how fast they post it on DoD. Thanks!

Yes, they did say, and I quote,
"Admission Status: Offer Extended
Admission Status Change Date: 16-FEB-2010"

I had actually checked earlier today, then checked again this evening, maybe an hour or so ago, when I noticed the change.

Where do I go to see my admission status? Because on CIS it just says the date I turned each part of the application in. I've never seen a section where it says in process or offer extended.

On my Candidate Information page there is a section titled "Medical Status" that says "For information regarding your medical exam or status please visit the DODMERB website." The link on DODMERB takes me to DODMERB's site, where I had to create an account. Once your account's created it tells you the status of your medicals.

My son's DoDMERB status also changed tonight to OFFER EXTENDED, date Feb-16. Didn't say that this morning!

Woo Hoo!!:thumb: Congrats Singaporemom (and son!!)!! I know how long and hard you've worked for this! Glad it all worked out after all the medical issues!

can anyone tell me how to access the DODMERB site? thanks!!

Thanks...I keep checking the DoDMERB site to make sure it doesn't change!
harmi- there is a link through the USNA admissions candidate information page. scroll down and you'll see it.

ok.....for some reason I am checking DoDMERB today more than then my typical daily average.....

I check it twice per day anyway. "In Process" is getting old. It's been that was since July 6, 2009! My best to all of those still waiting.

Have you called the Academy just to check on things to make sure everything was received? I called to check on things and so has my daughter. Just gives you peace of mind.

My daughter has called a couple of times. Usually it's a followup call to an EC update that she sent in. Next time, she wants to ask if her file has gone before the board yet. Does anyone know if there are any changes to look for before "offer extended" appears? And what will appear if she is wait-listed or rejected?

My son did contact the admissions board and was told that they have received everything. He knew that his medical qual was finished, and that they had received his updated CFA, SAT and ACT scores, as well as his nominations. Now he knows they received all his transcripts, and that he is scholastically qualified. However, his application status doesn't reflect "completed". In fact, it hasn't been changed since he turned in the first documents following NASS (as menitioned, that was 07/06/2009).

I was glad to read that some people have known for a while about their appointment with no status change on dodmerb, and others have status changes that my son's should have, but doesn't. I don't know why some are updated and some are not. I'm just glad to know it's not just us!

Hang in there "Mailbox Team"!!

Don't lose faith. Don't hinge everything based on what you see on DoDMERB.

My son has his appointment to USNA, but there has been no change on DoDMERB since he received his appointment.

On DoDMERB website, his USNA changed to "offer extended" in early January but the "Admission Status date change" says 9/09 (I'm assuming this correlates with his LoA because he didn't receive his nominations/appointment until late January.) It also says "SUBAGENCY NALOA".
His USAFA says "offer extended" and the "Admission status date change" is sometime in early January. He does not have a nomination or an appointment to USAFA. I think in this case the offer extended refers to his LoA to USAFA.
He also has LoA to West Point, but that status never changed from "in process".

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you have noticed a recent change in your status to "offer extended" then that looks good, however, if it's not changing, I wouldn't worry yet.

I'm curious if DoDMERB status changes after "offer extended". Anyone out there who has appointment, has your DoDMERB changed from "offer extended" to something else?

I don't know about USNA, but in the NROTC section on son's DoDMERB page the status changed to "accepted" after he turned in his acceptance paperwork. Maybe USNA will work the same way?
