Im ranked 6 in a class of 180. My GPA is 4.00. i got an 1880 (660 math, 610 reading, 610 writing) on my SATs. Varsity cross country, wrestling, and baseball. I've held jobs in the summer and school year. I'm in all the honor societies and clubs; including leadership positions. Also, I recently received my scholastic qualified letter and my congressional nomination. However, i feel that my submitted CFA are scores are lower than my potential.

Do you think i have a decent shot?

or any advice?

You most definitely have a shot. I had a 4.0 gpa... poor SATs and REALLY bad CFA (really bad day) I think I ran like a 8:34. I remember looking at everyone's post and thinking I didn't have a shot in *ell to get in. I ended up getting NAPS! I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Yes, you have a shot but no one here can tell you how good of a shot. Nor do our opinions count. Sorry, but the only vote that counts belongs to USNA. It's too late to change anything for this year so you'll just have to wait, difficult as it is.

Can't get naps if your found scholastically qualified though. You SATs are good, and class rank is good. They dont really look at GPA, from what I hear

You can resubmit CFA.....although time is running out.

son's CFA was weak, since he took it right after 5 months recovering from broken collarbone. But, it was good enough to pass. (he emailed regional director and asked). A week later his DoDMERB status changed to Offer Extended. It was good enough!

His gpa is about 3.9 unweighted, SAT score 770 math 640 english. 35 Math 31 English. Class rank is terrible, since he's merging 2 high schools with different courses. (High School 1 did not offer honors for every single core course like High School 2). But he's a kid with different interests: Eagle Scout, Varsity Football, JV Baseball, Baseball coach, Camp Counselor, Chinese immersion, flight school, Orchestra, NHS.

remember, it's the whole package.......

My daughter received a letter from USNA last January that she is scholastically qualified. She also received a letter from DoDMERB the day after that she is medically qualified. A week later, she received a blue folder to attend NAPS. She was very surprised because she had an interview that morning from the MOC and they congratulated her for getting appointed to NAPS ( the packet arrived after we returned home from her interview). She received the nomination from her congresswoman five days later. I guess each individual is handled differently and my point is ...don't loose hope.
