I wanted to know is the last day of the application process? Tommorrow or today, I have things that are not vertified by my officer and wanted to know? Thank you.
Your Dad might be yelling, but he is yelling because he knows how the AF operates. It is heard to hear/read, but the fact is he knows the system, and wants the best for you...he is not trying to be an ogre.
If you submitted your scores than you are good to go!
Again listen to your Dad, not as a parent, but a military member giving you advice who knows the system. The fact that you stated Dad was on your butt for a month says a lot, more than you know. You are young, and I respect that, but respect this, if you think Dad was on you, you have seen nothing yet...Dad is a cake walk, BCT instructors have no paternal love for you. AFA profs have no problem placing you on academic probation because you didn't hand in your report on time.
Not everyone is meant for the rigors of the SA's. YOU have to want it for yourself, and only yourself. That will be the only way you will survive.
I have had only a few post glimpse into you, but I do have questions. Most candidates who are in it for themselves have their files completed a long time ago. Many times the military child does it for the folks, and they drag their feet completing the file. It is sad, but true, some military children believe that if they want to go military this should be the route to make the folks proud. Sadder fact is they never talk to the folks. Our DS opted the full ride AFROTC because we sat him down and forced him to say his dreams of college. We had just as many fears about him going AFA as he did, probably more. When he knew we were fine with ROTC and thrilled that he choose this path, a weight was taken off of our family.
The point is we were silent because we thought that the AFA was his dream. He was silent because he thought it was ours!
FYI if you ever want to know anything about the 35, my Bullet (DH) is the one to ask, he works on it at the Pentagon.
my goal was to be in the service academy or enlist(period) I didn't see the ROTC life was the life for me.
You actually believe the ANG will then say if you want to fly we can do it?
If you do, I have a beautiful piece of property in Florida, don't mind the fact that the land doesn't dry completely.
ANG gets their Pilots and WSO's from washbacks or Palace Chase...you have about as much chance flying with an ANG as a 2nd Lt., as I have!
