How do you get mailed things during plebe summer? Aren't we assigned to a specific company, platoon, etc? So how do our friends/family get that information? Can we obtain that information beforehand? Also, what things are allowed to be mailed? can textbooks/papers/notes be mailed?

wait can you explain what you mean by higher validation tests? someone earlier had mentioned that upper level classes were validated before the start of the academic year, but after plebe summer.
