thanks for reaching out . I am working with Dr. Merchant as we have three pending dq's and none seem to be right-- Since she has an LOA and also nomination, I think they do waiver automatically. I am having testing done and will send all in one package. They did not ask her to take asthma test but she is pending dq for asthma-

so even if I send in new records, can they ask her as part of waiver process and while waiver is pending under review, to take tests- I know yours was required to take the metho test- was that request made after he was dq and as part of the waiver process?

Yes, once he was DQ'd then they asked for the tests. I agree I would wait it out to understand what tests are needed and requested.
wondering if you can identify the consultant you used

We used Dr. Merchant who runs DoDMERB Consultants. He charges for his services but was very helpful in getting us through the process. If she was DQ'd and you are in a waiver process you will most likely need to supply test results etc. Otherwise, if they are still reviewing medical then you should probably wait it out until they DQ her or you could be spending money on testing for nothing.
She has an LOA, nomination and recruited for swimming. Not sure if have to wait for waiver or can we have her tested and try to do before waive process which we know nothing about- any suggestion very much appreciated!!
costochondritist is muscular caused usually by trauma or overuse or unknown reasons and produces chest pain as the lining around lungs is inflamed ( which naturally an effect breathing) - costo is a condition that is temporary as was hers and went away four years ago , never reoccurred and is not in any related to asthma.
Four years ago my daughter had costochondritis and before it was diagnosed by the orthopedist as exactly that, we took her everywhere to find out cause of chest pain , the pulmonologist referred to it as bronchial spasms which Navy seems to equate with asthma which she has never had. We would like to prove she does not have asthma-
