He graduated class of 2017. His detachment commander was very supportive. The situation may have been that DS did ask for nom but inquired too late as the number of ROTC noms had been reached. Whatever the situation he did not get a ROTC nom.

Both DS and fellow classmate were in AFROTC at UT and the Corps of Cadets at A&M. Both were STEM majors and after their freshman year had I think about a 3.8 and 3.7, respectively.
