    VMI Ratline Questions

Mom of a rising first that is an engineering major here: best advice I can give you is study calculus as much as you can on your own over the summer- youtube, Udemy, whatever. VMI is great, but some of their teachers can be, shall we say, lacking... and for some reason their math department...

Is my GPA sufficient for VMI?

Take an SAT prep course and take the SAT as many times as you can. Your score will go up each time and is offered about every 2-3 months on Saturdays. See the college board website for dates and locations. This is the best money you will spend. The SAT carries a lot of weight... it is...

    Will I get accepted?

I would take an SAT or ACT prep course on understanding how they structure the questions... this can increase your score a lot. It did for my son. Other than that you are probably set, especially if you may play baseball for the school. Thankfully, neither your race, nor anyone else's matters...

No AF letter stating reason for waiver denial between two possibilities...

Thanks- it is Air Force ROTC. I read that memo over pretty carefully.... and everything seems to just stop once they send it to the Air Force for waiver consideration. I am at the step after the waiver is denied and I have to go through the rebuttal process. One rebuttal will be easy, the...

No AF letter stating reason for waiver denial between two possibilities...

Hello, I am new here and hope you all can help with a question: If DODMERB lists two reasons to disqualify and send your file to the waiver review board, is there any way to tell which issue the waiver was denied for, or if it was both? I contacted the technician assigned from DODMERB (this is...
