Received the ROTC Scholarship - should son decline other scholarships?

Copenhagen, You may want to check what fees are covered at this particular school. For example, my son's ROTC scholarship has never covered the school's communication fee, even though it's mandatory when living in the dorms (it provides wi-fi and cable TV for the dorm rooms, which is a luxury...

    Any BOLC dates drop yet?

My son called this morning - med services - he got his "unofficial" date today. Originally they were told they would learn BOLC date and PCS location at the same time but he was only told his date today.

    AROTC vs USMA

My son had a similar dilemma. He had his USMA appointment and 4-year ROTC scholarship to his first choice school. He agonized until the last possible minute. We took him for overnight visits to both schools in April and that made up his mind. He had some of the same issues regarding more...

    Ed. Delay Question

ProudSpartanDad, Congrats to your son. Mine is in almost the same situation - waiting on Ed Delay. He is over-the-moon excited about his AD component and DMG (20%) designation so he is less stressed about Ed Delay. I almost think he would be happier if he didn't go to law school right away...

    Ed delay resources

No, he's in for the long term. Is it 2 years for each year of assistance? Law school being 3 years, so add 6? I don't think he would be deterred by the extended commitment but that's a very small portion of law school tuition. I guess he will have to crunch numbers to see if he can afford...

    Ed delay resources

My MSIII son is planning on applying for an ed delay for law school. I know even getting the ED is a long shot. I wanted, however, to get a head start on looking for ways to pay for school if he gets lucky. :-) In addition to the regular loans and grants, is there any financial assistance...

For both of my kids, the blood type is listed on their permanent immunization record. Just another hint for anyone who might be hunting for this information.

    CLC standardized testing....

What tests did they end up administering? I remember discussion here a few months ago about Miller Analogies, CLA and/or GRE. Did the Pearson results indicate a "brand name" test or did they Army develop its own?

    CLC physical - thinking ahead

Cadet Command posted on Facebook a picture of cadets getting a physical at summer training and this got me thinking. DS will be going to CLC next summer. What does the physical involve? Should I "arm" him with all the documentation from his original DODMERB waiver?

CULP: Louisville Airport to Ft. Knox

There are little waves. :-) My son and two cadets from his battalion all arrived at Louisville within a few hours of each other this afternoon. They are going to three separate countries. That would seem to indicate that there's a reasonably sized group all processing there at the same time.
