I mean, my cousin went there... and two of my closest friends go there and we talk on Facebook pretty much every night. They tell me how it is from a youngster/2nd class's perspective.

Thank you for your post. Most of the things you mentioned towards the end only apply to plebes though. After plebe year it's pretty lax. Not anywhere near as lax as a civilian school, but more lax than plebe year.

You asked why I was so "hell-bent" on making money. If you must know- for starters, my parents came to the U.S. before I was born, and ever since I was born, they worked/lived for me. I love my parents and want to give back / make them not regret the decision to come to the states...

Yeah actually I did. I told them of my initial goals, and about how I wanted to five and dive. I was perfectly honest in my essays/interviews.
