Gosh that's scary to me as a non-varsity candidate... 1200 out of 1210 cadets had varsity letters. There were more international cadets than non-varsity cadets.

I was also fortunate enough to be selected. 730 SAT Math 4.0 (UW) / 5.14 (W) XC/Track (Not varsity or anything) JROTC/CAP (not an officer yet, a couple leadership positions though) Letter of Recommendation from 27 year SGM (don't know how much of an impact this had)

The CFA isn't a pass/fail exam for USAFA. The academy provides average and maximum scores on their website, but you should treat the averages as the minimums. If you fall below the average scores, you don't automatically fail, but your scores won't be competitive. edit: see USAFA_86's comment below
