@JTD posted in another thread that they got an appointment to the prep school. Looks like admissions is charging ahead at the pace of a lethargic snail.

However, I'm also very confused. Why are they appointing candidates who have already been given TWEs as opposed to those of us who haven't gotten any communication at all?
My NWL letter says that my file was reviewed by admissions. If they reviewed your file recently and didn't give you an appointment straight away, that might be a bad thing. idk. But it's better than a TWE.
We're both still in the running, so focus on that.
Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere else, but do they let everyone know if they don't get an appointment? If so, is the notice sent right away, or do we just assume we didn't get it if there's no communication by May 1st?
One of my mentors (Marine Major) has said that the best way to become a marine officer is through NROTC MO. He strongly believes that OCS and TBS are better at producing Marine officers than USNA. Just a perspective.
