Just wondering how this turned out for you. We got the surgery 3 weeks ago once he received his TWE. Then he as awarded an NROTC scholarship a week later. So now we are hoping he can attend NSI in July even though the six months won't be over.

My DS received a 4 year scholarship in the last round. He had DQ come up during the SA application process that could be fixed with surgery to remove a cyst. One he received his TWE in early April we went ahead with the surgery before we heard about the scholarship so thus wouldn’t be an issue...

My DS just received the email that he won the scholarship. How do you know if it is a 3 or 4 year? I can't find that info in the email. Thank you.

we are going to get the surgery done. My understanding is that this will cure the DQ and we will not need a waiver for next cycle. He should be medically qualified once this done. Are you waiting on a waiver since the 6 months has not passed since your surgery? Good Luck to you!

Thank you for the response. Hopefully usna will waive it. However it seems like WP is out for this cycle. Still waiting on NROTC and Arotc scholarships so not sure what to do until we hear back from them.

Can you give an update on the waiver request. DQ for same thing from 2022. No issues since. Went way with antibiotics. No recurrence. Not sure if surgery is even possible. Thank you.
