What SMC is the least physically challenging?

Depends upon the context of "easy". If you mean getting in academically, UNG is probably easier than the others. TAMU and VT would probably be the hardest, especially if you are looking at engineering as a major. VMI and Citadel are probably the most physically demanding, since they try to...

ROTC scholarship for West Point TWE's

Thanks for all of your responses. We'll wait and see, and in the mean time will keep communicating with the ROTC liaison at school #1, where DS was already accepted. Still scratching our heads as to how someone who was fully qualified for WP (and who Field Force rep thought would get an...

ROTC scholarship for West Point TWE's

He did not get the ROTC scholarship after the 3rd board, but was told by the ROTC liaison that he could still get the scholarship via the WP process.

ROTC scholarship for West Point TWE's

DS received TWE from WP last week stating that he was fully qualified but was not getting an appointment. I understand that Cadet Command gets the names of all 3Q/ no appt candidates from WP and offers some ROTC scholarships. Does anyone know how many they hand out and how quickly candidates are...

    AROTC 3rd Board...Place to Wait

Still "Boarded"- tough 24 hours- first the West Point TWE, now this.

    Reapplication

When you reapply do they roll over a lot of the data from your previous portal or do you need to submit everything all over again? I've heard the DODMERB qualification is good for two years, and you do need a new nomination, but what about the CFA test, SAT/ACT scores, essays, HS transcript, etc?

    Still in the Game

DS's portal updated this afternoon with the "fully qualified, but no offer" letter. Oh well, on to plan B. Good luck to all those still in the game.

    AROTC 3rd Board...Place to Wait

In DS's case, all of the schools he wanted to go to were out of state, but the ROTC application required that at least one school be in-state, so he listed one in-state school as his bottom choice, even though he had no intention of applying there. Was done just so the ROTC application would be...

If you're frustrated waiting for the BFE, this maybe why.

So what number should they use for "applicants" that would be apples to apples with other schools? Those who got a Nomination? Those who got a nomination and passed DODMERB? Those who got a nomination, passed DODMERB, and the CFA? Or should it just be someone who completed the written part of...

    Still in the Game

USMA admissions page on FB says they don't expect to fill up the 2019 class until end of April, with possibly a few offers extending into May. Each week that goes by a few more offers and a few more rejections get sent, so it's like a nerve-wracking game of musical chairs.

It could just be that the mean in each year was 28.4 vs 28.6. They are rounding the stat to the nearest whole number.

    Most Competitive Districts

Each MOC can have 5 nominees attending at any one time, so most years they have one slot open and every few years they have two slots. For each open slot they can nominate up to 10 applicants from their district. Now that doesn't mean that only that 1 or 2 get in, the Academies can take more...

@Sledge- LOL good one! I stand corrected on the application number. I wonder how many actually get completed in full.

15,000 is about the same number they have been getting the last few years. It's probably just everyone who submits an application. The number that actually start an application is probably a lot higher. Other schools get a lot more. Texas A&M had almost 40,000 applicants this year.

    PPW USMA Command Brief

Wow, only 2200 out of 4000 nominees were fully qualified- lower % than normal.
