Near the end of his second sea term, out 2014 mid was told he needed to fly back to KP to take an test and turn in a makeup project for which he failed during his first sea year. They had originally told him, that they would just make the second sea year project count as double. He had to fly...
CO gas
Since the CO disapated so quickly, it must be the A splitters getting used to the food from Delano. Food on the ships didn't give them the gas.
You say that "not enough sea days is easily preventable", but not always so when your own academy loses your paperwork to get your Coast Guard card you need to sail on and you lose 4 valuable weeks of sailing time.

Sea Term. What happens if a Mid can not find a ship to sail on for one of his terms? DS tells me that almost 30% of 2014 A split do not have ships yet for this November.

Do you have an idea how much taxi's are or are they reliable from the Marriott to the Long Island Marriott? We are taking the rest of the family to NYC for a few days after indoc starts and did not want to rent a car in the city, so thought we could taxi back and forth to KP and then train into...
From the USMMA website page admissions section, http://www.usmma.edu/admissions/reps/default.htm you can click on your state and get a number of local representatives. I emailed about 10 of them and a couple got back to me very quickly. If that does not work, email the admissions office.
