Road trip complete...and the winner is... DS and mom finished up road trip to WPI Friday, and RPI with dad on Saturday. Both schools were very impressive. DS Loved the WPI "close knit" feel... distance from home, being the host school for ROTC. RPI impressed him with the resources available...

Not sure about USAFA, but my understanding of USMA is that fully qualified and nominated candidates are not eligible for prep. It is for outstanding candidates that do not make the cut due to an academic deficiency. I may be wrong

Failed to mention... Failed to mention he has AFROTC as well... doing road trips today to check out campus and ROTC... so if he choses AFROTC, when would SFT start?

New ROTC cadet DS will be a Freshman this coming fall. Has 4year AROTC scholarship. When will he start SFT (I am guessing that is summer field training)?

Road trip to WPI this week and RPI next along with a couple other schools...IQP overseas sounds interesting, I imagine that trip would be sanctioned by AROTC.

No longer waitlisted!!! DS was awarded 4 year AROTC scholarship to WPI and RPI :smile:, however was on the waitlist at both these schools :frown:. DS followed the advice here and hit the ground running contacting admissions and the AROTC attachments at both schools this weekend. He got feed...
