I was contacted by my BGO a few weeks ago congratulating me on becoming an official candidate but have not yet received anything from the Academy. Should I contact admissions to make sure there was no mistake?

I am applying for the class of 2019 as well. I recently go the exact same email from my BGO who I later called. He told me that I should be getting the information in the mail shortly and that it is slightly behind last year but coming soon.

Not sure how admissions looks at them but I am a part of both and they both are more valuable then a check on a application. I've learned lessons that will be with me for the rest of my life. Put in the effort and shift around your schedule. It will be worth it

I just got back from the March CVW. Great experience that gives you a realistic taste of a typical day at USNA. Some suggestions: Bring a laptop or book or something you can do while your plebe is doing HW and before taps. Bring some snacks to share with your temporary roommates. Lastly and...

Definitely more leadership, being captain of the swim team is great but still need more. Maybe look at being president of a club at your school. Other wise looks solid.
