Did you try asking your English teachers for help in raising your ACT scores? Maybe they will help you out if you explain your goals and desires. I think many teachers would be more than willing to help out someone with goals like yours.

You may want to apply to the CSPI program. They pay you to go to your last two years of college (you just have to go to select colleges, not all qualify) and when you graduate you are a Coast Guard officer...

Not sure if your goal is civil aviation after the service but most employers (airlines, part 135 operators, etc) want fixed wing multi-engine turbine time. So, all that heli time may not position you for a flying job post military... On the other hand, the intel jobs might position you for a...

As an IT person I would agree with the other folks. Learn the basics in AP Comp Sci and get a foundation. The Cisco stuff is very specific and not something you will use in the next few years. And Cisco is just one vendor in the networking field and networking is just one part of the IT world...

Yes, if anyone has any thoughts about the CGA you really should do the AIM program. Even if you decide not to go or don't get accepted I think you will find it worth your time and expense. It was a learning experience for my stepson. Howard

If you are a Junior try AIM AIM is a week where you will get a good taste of what the summer will be like. My stepson did it and knew he wanted to attend but did not get accepted (hint, like the others said, don't go to TRY, go to succeed knowing that being a officer in the CG is your ultimate...
