what we're told is...when in doubt, use sir/ma'am unless told otherwise. technically as cadets our pay grade is E3 (airman first class), and you will almost never encounter anyone below that rank here at the academy

should be fine. as far as compression shorts are concerned, black, white, or gray. pretty much anything without color is fine

that is up in the air...due to reasons unbeknownst to us, it is possible that usafa is no longer allowed to require that certain undergarments be worn. that being said, just get a dozen pairs of white boxers and 4 v white v neck shirts and you should be fine

There will be a contraband check-in, and safest option is put anything at seems like contraband in your backpack and turn it in. and yes. don't ever underestimate what a stressed and tired basic is capable of. falling off bunk beds, running into fire hydrants, you'd be surprised.

as long as its correctable to 20/20, you should be fine. of course, that doesnt mean abuse your eyesight but don't worry too much about it during junior year, particularly for pilots you can elect to get laser eye surgery to get pilot qualifications. that being said, it doesnt fix everything...

Some clubs, particularly ski clubs and what-not, have their own storage rooms. Because of new room standards, storing equipment in your room is discouraged, and may or may not be authorized for 4 degrees. However, whatever the situation, you will not have trouble finding a place to store it...

I agree. make sure it's what you want to do. JROTC is no guarantee. I have every confidence that it will get you in with the basics but the academy is tough, no matter how good you are. it's not just the school, or the athletics, but rather the day to day grind. You might be fine in JROTC but...

just have to say this because it does happen...there are those of you who think you're better than some upperclassmen. and...well. thats normal. but i've seen those people inprocess in my own class, and they let it get to their heads. they don't last very long here. no hard feelings. just...

its relatively the same for the pilot qualifying test, but much more thorough. the very first one will be six rows of dots, and in each row you identify which one stands out.

you should have some paperwork coming in your second BFE. if not, you'll have information to fill out on i-day to open up your bank account and if all else fails, theres a day during basic in which you sort out your financial affairs if need be. they'll find a way to pay you one way or another...

honestly...time as a 4 degree is limited, so most typically dont. but yes there is time. put it this way. if you want there to be time...youll make time. simple as that
