We are at hotel near North Entrance awaiting Thursdays in processing for class of 2016 and have been told that at least part of the Academy has already been evacuated. From our hotel, the fire is much closer to the Academy than is comfortable.

Thanks guys for the post. We are not a military family and know nothing about the military lifestyle, so this whole experience is new to me. Friends that are coming to the area just ask about a visit with DS, told them I would ask. Think they will be better to try to see him when they go...

Visitors at USAFA Okay.....I have another question! I know that the cadets are not allowed to leave campus until Labor Day Weekend, but between BCT ending and Parents weekend can they have a visitor on campus on the weekend? We have friends that are traveling to Colorado Springs around August...

Thanks for all of the help! Do any of you who have previously attending remember how long it took you to get off of the campus after the ceremony? A rough estimate would be a huge help in booking our return flight. Also, i did not know until we received packet today that the USAFA reimburses...

Swearing In Ceremony Does anyone know what time the swearing in ceremony is on the 29th? We are wanting to stay for it but are not sure what time to make our return flight for.

My DS is Falcon at MMI and received call from our Congressman about 9:15 pm tonite!!!! Finally!!!!!!!

Thank you so much.....my family is fine, unfortunately the town where we work and attend church did not fair so well.....but it is a small community and everyone has pulled together! Please continue to pray for everyone that has lost so much!

We live in North Alabama- MMI is only 3 hours away! Sorry reply is taking a while.....we are in the middle of all of the tornado damage and internet service is running very slow!
