Should I wait until I'm team captain to turn in my application?

Here's what I did I was a lacrosse captain as a junior and went ahead and put it for senior year. I was one again, so it didn't impact me.

    NROTC Nomination?

i applied to the naval academy my senior year, and did not get accepted. I am reapplying, but I have been considering applying to West Point. I have submitted my nomination forms, but I did not mark West Point. I could call them and let them know, but I was curious if I could get a nomination...

    Dodmerb???

Qualifications are different for each branch of the military. They will see your results when you hit 50%, and they'll make a decision. The situations are rare, but sometimes you only qualify for certain branches.

    Sports?

I'm not sure, but I know there is a really long list of sports that covers everything from football to bowling on your candidate activities record. Even if it is not on that list, you could still put it in the remarks. I would advise you to put a lot of effort in to that sport and try to become...

    Calculus 1 or 2

I was in a similar situation, I got out of composition I & II, I talked to a guy who graduated from my high school, who was a successful re-applicant, and he said go ahead and take a literature class. It will still show up on a transcript. However, I could see how this is different for you. I...

How can I improve myself for the application?

I definitely feel for you being from NoVA. I got a nomination from a senator with a 30 granted it wasn't the principal. I wish I had the score I have now when I applied for noms the first time.

    Final ACT Scores

USNA only takes your English and Math. Take it again, focusing only on those two.

    ACT test scores

Hey man, I highly suggest getting a tutor I made 26 three times in a row, and then I had a tutor for two weeks and I went up to a 35. I did take two practice tests a day, but the tutor definitely helped. You're probably missing a few grammar rules like I was. Remember that you get what you put...

    class rank vs. gpa

my school doesn't rank; they won't specify where anyone is except the valedictorian and salutatorian and the top 20 is just a list of names no particular order, but I think class rank is definitely misleading as well. In order to promote fine arts, my school made all fine arts count as honors...

    How many people reapply?

Approximately 2500 candidates are considered fully qualified. Does any have the answer on how many of those are reapplicants? I've read that there are usually 100 accepted.

USNA Preliminary Application: SAT and ACT Scores?

There are two levels: candidate and qualified. To be a candidate I'm pretty sure there is no act minimum so if you submitted the application and don't have kids or are married you'll become a candidate. To be academically qualified, (which is required for direct admission) you need above a 26...

What do i need to do?

Don't worry about the ACT, I had a 16 in 7th grade and had a 35 by senior year. However, i still have a TWE, and I am reapplying. All I can tell you is don't compare yourself to others applying it'll drive you mad.

Take SATs instead of retake ACTs

okay so I applied for 2020, and I received a TWE in early April. My act scores are fine 34 math 35 english. Honestly, if I studied and retook them odds are good I make a careless mistake and don't go up. Would it look good to take the SAT to show persistence or would it be null and void?
