So why did they send him to USMAPS? Doesn't seem like he fit the profile of needing academic remediation, being a recruited athlete, or being prior service?
Last year there were certain application requirements to be considered for an LOA. The file did not need to be complete. Maybe someone on here who is involved with admissions can share the information about which items must be in.
Someone recently posted a news item that was a collection of photos from each academy's first day. I'd like to share it but- alas- have not been able to find it. Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction.
Multitool/Knife
My son isn't sure, reading the packing list, if the multitool/knife must fold? His knife does not.
Does any current cadet know?
Thanks in advance.
Another 2016 parent here-correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think any underwear except compression shorts is authorized for male new cadets to bring to Beast- tighty whiteys are issued and compression shirts are not okay to bring.
billyb,
You can familiarize yourself with the criteria by reading the official document, found here:

I think concussion is under "neurologic"- approx. page 45
Hope that helps.
I don't think so. When we went through this process there were specific forms to bring, then a straightforward qualification/disqualification process.
Where the records come in handy is after being disqualified, when seeking a waiver.
