Son just about has everything he needs for VMI other than the 6 twin xl flat sheets (white). I am having a heck of a time finding these! If anyone can tell me where to purchase, or post a link where to buy on line, I would appreciate it very much! :thumb:

Welcome, roadhog. My son will be a brother rat along with you. He is very excited about attending VMI. You will find this forum to be a wealth of information; just do a search on "VMI" to find pertinent posts; I learned alot that way. We have also found the staff at VMI to be very accomodating...

My son just texted me from the Yard; the Herndon climb took 3 minutes. It was not greased this year :thumbdown: He said the upperclassmen did not even cheer them on!

I would like some information/statistics on this as well, as my son is also going to be pursing this option at VMI. Marine ROTC instructor there advised us that 90% of his candidates receive Marine option sideloads. I'd like to know how acurate this is.

Son received the TWE today. He was happy that he made it this far. Now it's off to either VMI or V-Tech where he'll participate in ROTC, and he is excited about visiting these two schools this weekend to make up his mind. He didn't get an NROTC scholarship either (tier 3), which we knew was a...

Sorry, no mention of waiting lists was made to me; I was only advised that if son received a scholarship for a school that was already filled, we would need to contact that school's unit directly to see about a transfer.
