Hello, I received a 4 year Army ROTC scholarship last night. However, my dream has been to attend USNA. I was curious if I do not get an appointment can I accept the scholarship then reapply my freshman year to USNA?

I submitted my application in late august, I got accepted yesterday.

I got the exact same email, at first I was upset and mad that I was "unfit" when they hadn't even given me a chance to show off who I am. However, I called my BGO immediately and he said, "think of it this way, the Academy is basically asking for more information about you, not disqualifying you."

In your email did it say "you're an official candidate?" or what did it say?

I got invited to the CVW back in February. I went, and my passion to attend the Academy grew. I was just curious, is there a chance I will be chosen as a Candidate come July, considering I was already invited to attend the CVW?
