    AROTC to USNA

Noted, it appears than that the different services have different languages on their contracts. In all though to the original post, I would try out AROTC first before you fully commit to USNA. Don't have the conviction that you won't like the program because you may enjoy it and make bonds...

    USMA admissions staff civilians

In addition to said comment, more importantly, we need civilians to complete our mission

Joining AFROTC as a Sophomore: Needs Advice

    You're welcome

Is it too late for me to join AFROTC?

No, it's not too late. You can enroll in ROTC either your spring semester of freshman year or fall semester sophomore year.

    AFROTC Application Process

Even if you don't get a scholarship right off the bat, you can still compete when your in school for a 3 and 2 year scholarship. Your numbers and what you did in high school though will not matter, it's about how you perform in college. Study hard (3.5 or higher GPA) exercise (97 or higher...

Joining AFROTC as a Sophomore: Needs Advice

Retaking the SAT/ACT will slightly help but I suggest you increase your GPA. The board for field training has multiple components, your commanders ranking has the most weight. The SAT/ACT score will only matter if your AFOQT score is lower then they are. If your AFOQT score is lower, then your...

    AROTC to USNA

If you do go through with you plan to transfer, be prepared to pay back all the money you receive from the Army. If you contract in then break the contract, you must pay back all the money given to you.

    Obesity in ROTC?

Agreed with DanGir. I'm an active bodybuilder and my physique is easily 70% diet and 30% working out. Focus on your diet and exercise at least 30 minutes a day. Great cardio exercises to lose weight include the stair master and the rowing machine

    NROTC+football+engineering

My advice: pick what you would love to do the most in college. You can easily handle NROTC and football. Engineering though is a tough degree that is normally completed in 5 years. ROTC is a 4 year program for the majority of cadets. Also know that college classes are much more difficult than...

    ROTC to USMA

I would try ROTC out before you commit fully to USMA. Especially since you were awarded a scholarship. Enjoy college, complete ROTC, and at graduation, you still get the 2LT bars

    USMA admissions staff civilians

Agreed with the post above. Know though that civilians are a big part of the military and without them, we wouldn't be able to perform at high level. Even though civilians do not take an oath, they still serve their country and should be treated with respect.

    Are my classes competitive enough?

Another AP Spanish course. JROTC will not help you at this stage, you would have had to have been a part of JROTC for a couple of years to have an effect

    Competitiveness for USMA

You have good grades and test scores. Sports are good but I would still compete this year to have 4/3 respectfully. Definitely let the admissions board know of all your extra-curricular activities. Don't spend too much time worrying that your activities are not in school, the board looks at the...
