My son also earned a Type 7 and accepted to ERAU. Type 7’s cannot be used at private universities, but can be converted into a Type 2, 3 year to be used at private or public. Your best info is calling the colleges AFROTC admissions. Good luck to your son.

Surprised...then very proud! We are a Navy family and didn't know our DS had any interest in the military, he chose AFROTC.

My son was also awarded the Tyoe 7. He’s looking at two, private colleges where he has been offered nice merit scholarships. Can the Type 7 scholarship (At the in state tuition rate) be applied to a private school to help offset the difference after the merit scholarship is applied? It reads...

Yes! I’m confused about the info. Originally the date for the release was 12/20, but on my sons AFROTC status page it says board is meeting 12/16, results 12/30, typo? Anyone else?

According to the AFROTCAdmissions post in the beginning of this thread, 11/15 is when the board results are released. The board meets the 5 days prior to the release of results date. My guess is your son would be in the 12/16 board.

Students started applying the summer before their senior year for the upcoming Fall 2020 school year.

Hello, TY for your reply and information. We live in an extremely rural area and his interview will be far away. We don’t trust his car to make it and decided to make a day out of it and visit the “city!” Ha!
