Thanks, that is helpful. The Aeromedical Reference and Waiver Guide is a nice reference. Based on the guide, his single shoulder dislocation that was surgically repaired appears to be waiverable assuming it stays stable.

He did check with the NROTC unit and the Assistant PNS indicated they have no say/input into the Waiver Process (this person is new to their position and perhaps has not encountered this issue yet). Can the NROTC unit assist in the process?

I believe that whatever information is supplied to DoDMERB is available to all sources. The same documents that USMA requested were used by USCGA to grant the waiver as well (i.e. was only sent 1 time).

I'm not sure if this exactly what you were looking for but my DS had provided AMIs for one academy and when he won the AFROTC scholarship within 1 week they granted the waiver without asking for further information. That was a very pleasant surprise.

DS just received his NROTC selection via email just now and the NROTC portal reflects the status.

Can the letter of acceptance be from any university with an AFROTC program or it needs to be one of the ones selected in the application? If it can be any school, what is the reason to select schools in the application?

It was for my DS, check your Wings portal. He got that message from DoDMERB, then he checked his Wings portal and found out he received the scholarship.
