    I have had some LT advisers who were USNA graduates. If you are lucky enough to have one in your unit, they definitely are a help as well.

    Strictness of Word Count

    From my experience also, many college assignments will have word count criteria that most likely will even penalize you if you go over. The word count is there to not only make sure you write enough on the topic, but also to make sure that you don't go overboard. Whoever is reading your essay...

    NROTC sideload board updates....

    From my understanding the 3-year selection board conducted from 16-20 July and the 2 year board will be this week. I am not sure if the results from both boards will be released separately or all at one time.

    If the application is submitted, I would contact your recruiter/coordinator that is listed on the portal on the issue. Everyone I believe is assigned one.
